AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

Doña Ana County is committed to complying with the provisions of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Americans with Disabilities Act is a federal law that prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilities. This law includes all services, programs and activities provided or made available by state and local governments. Doña Ana County, a local government, will ensure effective communication with individuals with disabilities and will, upon request, provide auxiliary communication aids and services to afford those individuals equal opportunity for participation in DAC sponsored meetings, events or activities.

Auxiliary aids and services may be, but are not limited to, a qualified sign language interpreter, large print materials, audio tape, a note taker, open or closed captioning, assistive listening devices, Brailled materials, web site access, etc. This request should be made to the ADA Coordinator, in writing, or by phone, at least 48 hours prior to the event where that accommodation is needed. Should you wish to express concerns or questions about your rights under Title II of the ADA, or need to request a reasonable accommodation to a policy, program or activity, or file a grievance, please contact us.
