COUNTY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR HEALTH FUND EXTERNAL AGENCY EVALUATION COMMITTEE

 

Doña Ana County has opened the application period for individuals interested in evaluating external agency health-services funding applications for Fiscal Year 2014-15.

Doña Ana County is soliciting applications for health fund proposal evaluation committees.   The following is a list of eligibility criteria. To be considered, each applicant must submit an application and a current resume. Only applicants who meet the following minimum criteria will be considered. Committee members are limited to serve three (3) consecutive years.

 

Health Fund External Agency Evaluation Committee Criteria

•      Not a current member of the Health and Human Services Alliance

•      Is not an employed by, related to an employee or otherwise associated with an agency that has received funding from Doña Ana County in the past two (2) years, or is applying for funding in the current year.

•      Has been a resident of Doña Ana County for at least three (3) years.

•      Demonstrates familiarity with the healthcare system/services in Doña Ana County.

•      Represents providers, consumers, or advocates of healthcare services.

•      Has not served on evaluation committee for three consecutive (3) years.

 

Prior to public recommendations to the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners each applicant selected to the evaluation committee will be required to:

  • Attend a training orientation
  • Sign a conflict of interest form
  • Read all proposals (individually to include a weekend or from Friday - Monday).
  • Score each of the proposals (individually).
  • Meet a minimum of two (2) times to discuss Scoring/Funding /Strength & Weakness. This will be done in a group setting facilitated by Dona Ana County staff.
  • May be required to attend Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Meeting

 

The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners will appoint the evaluation committee from among the qualified applicants. The committee will assist Doña Ana County in evaluating collaborative proposals under funding priorities for countywide access to medical, dental and mental health services.

 

All applications must be delivered to Stacey Madson, Contracts Coordinator, Doña Ana County Purchasing Department, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, NM, 88007. The deadline for applications to be returned is no later than 5 p.m. Jan.  10, 2014.
