FLOOD VICTIMS NEED CLEANING, COOKING SUPPLIES

Residents of La Union and Berino are in need of cleaning supplies and electric skillets as efforts continue to recover from flooding in those communities.

The Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department is accepting donations of cleaning supplies – bleach, disinfectant wipes, brooms, mops, detergent, etc. – and electric skillets for distribution to homes that had water damage or where natural-gas service has been disrupted.

Donations can be dropped off at the main reception desk of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd., in Las Cruces today before 5 p.m.

Weekend donations can be dropped off at the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in La Union, or at the home of Doña Ana County Public Information Director Jess C. Williams at 518 N. Miranda St. in Las Cruces.

All donations will be distributed to residents in need.
