HVAC REPLACEMENT UNDERWAY AT 3rd JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT

The Doña Ana County Facilities and Parks Department is coordinating a project to replace the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system that serves the Third Judicial District Court building at Alameda and Picacho streets in Las Cruces.

The $860,000 project will replace equipment that is more than two decades old. The project is expected to last into the month of June.

Signs will be posted in the affected areas as the project progresses, and the public is asked to be patient while the work continues. The work was scheduled for the late winter and spring in order to impose the least possible discomfort on the court staff and visitors to the building. If the work is completed on schedule, the air-conditioning should be fully operational at the peak of summer heat.

The contractor doing the work is C&E Industrial Services of the City of Sunland Park. The project was funded through an appropriation from the 2013 New Mexico Legislature, which was approved by New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez.
