SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO CEASE FINGERPRINTING SERVICES

Effective immediately, the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office will no longer offer fingerprinting services to the general public for background checks or pre-employment requirements. The move comes after an announcement by the New Mexico Department of Public Safety that, effective Nov. 1, a digital fingerprinting system will be implemented and paper fingerprint cards will no longer be accepted.

Digital fingerprinting services are offered locally by private, for-profit companies.  The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office does not own or operate the software for the services.
