CASE # V11-011/THOMPSON: The applicant, Laura Thompson, is requesting a Variance to the minimum lot size from 2.0 acres to 1.867 acres within the ER2 (Residential, 2.0-acre minimum new lot size, single family site-built homes) Zoning District to subdivide a 4.0-acre parcel into two lots. The property is located north of the City of Las Cruces and west of North Valley Dr., and is addressed as 2335 Trails End Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88007. It is described as a tract of land situated in Sections 17 & 20, Township 22 South, Range 1 East, N.M.P.N. of the U.S.R.S. Surveys as part of Tract 4-12A2F, as recorded in the office of the Doña Ana County Clerk on February 2, 1988 in Deed Book 320, Pages 507-516. The parcel can be further identified by Map Code # 4-002-129-369-526.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 2012-001 to the ETZ Ordinance No.88-02, as previously amended: “Home Occupation Permits and other ETZ Amendments.” Summary: Proposed Amendment to the Las Cruces Extra-territorial Zoning Ordinance, No. 88-02., Article I, “Purpose, Authority, and Scope of the Code”, Section 1.6: “Definitions”, Article III, “Zoning Districts and Special Use Permits”, Section 3.1: “General Districts: Purposes and Uses”; and Section 3.4: “Home Occupation Permits”, Article VII, “Accessory Buildings”, Section 7.1.A, “Height and Setback Requirements for All Residential Districts”. The ETZ Commission, at its regularly scheduled meeting on September 22, 2011, recommended approval of the Amendment to the ETA, by a vote of 7-0-0.
