Fire Marshal Robert Monsivaiz – The Fire Marshal oversees the administration of Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services. Fire Marshal Monsivaiz reports to the County Manager and Board of County Commissioners on all matters pertaining to fire protection and prevention. Fire Marshal Monsivaiz has been in the fire service for 31 years and came to Doña Ana County in May of 2009. Previous to coming to the county, he was the Fire Chief of two municipal combination fire departments.
Assistant Fire Marshal Eric Crespin – The Assistant Fire Marshal oversees the Operations, Prevention, and Training sections of Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services as well as the Hazardous Materials Response Team. Assistant Fire Marshal Crespin directly supervises all of the career staff and is in charge of maintaining district operations in cooperation with the district chiefs. Assistant Fire Marshal Crespin began in the fire service in 1992, and began his career with Doña Ana County in May of 2006.
Administrative Assistant Alma Pacheco – The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Fire Marshal and is the Office Manager for Fire Administration. Her duties include assisting the Fire Marshal with day to day operations regarding budgetary and personnel matters and assisting the fire districts with daily administrative functions including state funding and communication with the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Alma joined Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services in July of 2007 and has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
Captain Arturo Herrera – Fire Prevention Specialists are tasked with code and ordinance enforcement, occupancy inspections, occupancy plan reviews, and fire origin and cause determination investigations. Captain Herrera began his career in the fire service in 1998 as a volunteer firefighter, and began his career with Doña Ana County in August of 2009.
