United Blood Services and Doña Ana County are coming together for a blood drive on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, in the main rotunda of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd., in Las Cruces.

ANTHONY INTERSECTION CLOSURES ANNOUNCED

Beginning Monday, Dec. 17, construction crews will close the intersection of O’Hara Road and Three Saints Road in Anthony to install wastewater pipes. That project is expected to be completed on Friday, Dec. 21.

DETENTION CENTER ATTACK REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION; LOCKDOWN LIFTED

The Doña Ana County Detention Center has been placed on lockdown following an attack by an inmate on a detention officer. A full investigation is underway. (NOTE: The lockdown was lifted at approximately 2 p.m. Dec. 4, 2007.)

ADDINGTON ROAD CLOSURE ANNOUNCED

Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 4, construction crews will close Addington Road between N.M. 478 and N.M. 28 to replace a collapsed culvert. The closure is expected to be in effect until 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. read more...
