EVANS HOSTS U.S./MEXICO BORDER COUNTIES COALITION CONFERENCE
District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner D. Kent Evans will host the 2007 annual conference of the U.S./Mexico Border Counties Coalition, Sept. 7-8, in Las Cruces. Evans was elected president of the coalition at the 2006 conference.

PUBLIC MEETING SLATED TO DISCUSS CHAPARRAL DRAINAGE MASTER PLAN
The Doña Ana County Flood Commission will hold a public meeting in Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, to discuss problem flooding areas and sources, and to identify potential solutions for inclusion in the proposed Chaparral Drainage Master Plan. COUNTY OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR LABOR DAY HOLIDAY
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, to allow employees to observe the Labor Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement will not be affected.
