The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 16 detention officer cadets on Friday, July 21.
Telephone service into the Doña Ana County Government Center has suffered brief intermittent outages throughout the day. The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department also has been affected. Technicians are at work to identify the problem and fix it. If necessary, work will continue through the weekend.
Former Doña Ana County Elections Supervisor Mari Langford-Pavão’s termination on grounds of substandard job performance and personal misconduct will not be reviewed. Langford-Pavão failed to file an appeal to the Doña Ana County Human Resources Department within 10 calendar days of her termination notification. The deadline for the appeal expired at 5 p.m. today.
