PUBLIC HEARING TO FOCUS ON ETZ CHANGES

The Doña Ana County/City of Las Cruces Extraterritorial Zoning Authority will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, to seek public comment on proposed changes to the Extra-Territorial Zoning Ordinance. The hearing will be held in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center.

PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT REGARDING SOUTHERN SPACEPORT ROAD

The Bureau of Land Management will host an open house public forum to field comments and suggestions as part of an Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze the potential effects from construction and operation of a 26-mile southern road from Doña Ana County to the Spaceport America facility.

COUNTY OPENS “KITTY CONDO” CAT ADOPTION SITE

The Doña Ana County Government Center opened a new off-site cat adoption center for the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley this week, aiming to further reduce the euthanasia rate for healthy, adoptable animals in Doña Ana County.

PIT BULLS EUTHANIZED AFTER ATTACK

Doña Ana County Animal Control officers say two adult male pit bull terriers were euthanized after they reportedly attacked a 63-year-old man as he was walking his dog Wednesday morning.
