COUNTY OFFICES ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, May 28, 2012, to allow employees to observe the Memorial Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will be closed for the day.

LAS CRUCES MAN CHARGED WITH INTENTIONAL CHILD ABUSE

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators arrested a 25-year-old Las Cruces man Tuesday, and charged him with intentional child abuse after a toddler in his care was taken to the hospital with severe burns all over her body.

WEDNESDAY CRASH CLAIMS TWO MORE LIVES

The pregnant female passenger in a 2003 Honda involved in a crash west of Anthony, NM Wednesday morning has died as a result of her injuries. The baby girl she was carrying, who was delivered shortly after her arrival at an El Paso hospital, has also died.

MAN KILLED IN FATAL CRASH NEAR ANTHONY, NM IDENTIFIED

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s deputies have identified a man killed earlier this morning after the car he was driving collided with another vehicle west of Anthony, sending three people, including a pregnant woman, to El Paso-area hospitals.
