FOGGING UNDERWAY AT SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO STATE FAIRGROUNDS

In anticipation of a heavily attended Southern New Mexico State Fair, Doña Ana County has begun daily fogging on the property to control mosquito populations. Standing water is being treated with chemicals to kill mosquito larvae.

FEMA REPRESENTATIVES TO VISIT RURAL COMMUNITIES THIS WEEK

SUE PADILLA NAMED ASSISTANT COUNTY MANAGER FOR DOÑA ANA COUNTY

Doña Ana County Manager Brian D. Haines has announced the promotion of M. Sue Padilla to the position of Assistant County Manager. The promotion became effective Sept. 1. She retains her duties as Director of Utilities and Environmental Services.

DOÑA ANA COUNTY SHUTS DOWN MESILLA DAM BRIDGE

The Doña Ana County Engineering Department has ordered the immediate closure of the Mesilla Dam Bridge on County Road C-06 south of Las Cruces. The bridge – located just west of the dam – appears in imminent danger of failure due to high water flows.
