  • RESIDENTS WARNED OF DEBT SCAM LETTERS - 08/25/2010

    A company calling itself GHS Solutions is mailing letters to Doña Ana County residents offering to settle unsecured debt. The letters state that Doña Ana County records indicate that the recipient meets “the minimum requirements and [is] located in a qualifying area.”

  • BEADED PONY REPAIR TO FEATURE ARTIST JULIENNE HADFIELD - 08/25/2010

    The beaded pony on display at the Doña Ana County Government Center since 2007 is showing some minor wear and tear, so the Doña Ana Arts Council and local artist Julienne Hadfield are teaming up for a community event to showcase the horse and to allow the public to see the beading process up close during repairs Friday, Aug. 27, in the rotunda of the Doña Ana County Government Center. Refreshments will be served.

  • FLOODING FORCES CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD D-66 - 08/16/2010

    Doña Ana County road crews have closed County Road D-66 near the pavement’s end on Jornada Road near the new school construction site. The roadbed was heavily flooded, and cars were getting stuck. The road will reopen when it’s dried and can be re-graded.

  • CONSTRUCTION TO CLOSE PORTION OF FRANCO ROAD - 08/09/2010

    Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 10, Doña Ana County road crews will close Franco Road in Vado between Palomino and Mustang roads to repair the bridge surface. The bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day through Friday, Aug. 13.
