Doña Ana County is seeking applicants willing to serve on the county’s Internal Audit Committee. The committee comprises two county commissioners and three members of the public. One of the public-sector seats is open for appointment.
The internal audit function is designed to strengthen county procedures and to emphasize accountability to the taxpayers. The committee works closely with the Internal Auditor to develop a comprehensive plan for studying problem areas and recommending workable solutions to the Board of County Commissioners and the county manager that can subsequently be implemented.
Letters of interest, resumes and reference letters will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, through the Doña Ana County Manager’s Office. Application materials should may be mailed or delivered to Michelle Blackwell, Executive Assistant to the County Manager, at 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, N.M. 88007.
