Doña Ana County has announced its annual open application period for external agency funding for the period of July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. Completed applications must be returned by 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2005.
Two separate applications are available. One is for health services funding. The other is for general discretionary funding by the Board of County Commissioners.
A physician specialty collaborative to serve the under- and uninsured has been added as a health services priority this year. Other health services priority funding categories include: Primary medical care; dental/vision/pharmaceutical services; hospice care; maternal/child/adolescent health; behavioral health; and life-threatening chronic diseases.
Applications for both health-service and BOCC discretionary funding may be picked up at the Doña Ana County Finance Department at 180 West Amador Ave. in Las Cruces or at the Health and Human Services Department at 125 W. Boutz Rd. in Las Cruces.
