The Doña Ana Recreation Park, which features a fully accessible play area, a well-equipped playground and a shaded family picnic area, is now open to the public. A baseball field is still under construction on the site and is scheduled to open later this year.
The park play area is open daily from dawn to dusk. Additional hours of operation may be added during the summer months. The playground features an extensive array of equipment, in addition to a basketball court and shaded seating.
The park currently is being administered by the Doña Ana County Facilities and Parks Department, but administrative duties will eventually be transferred to the Doña Ana Community Development Association.
The park is located about a quarter mile southwest of the I-25 exit to the village of Doña Ana. The park is located just north of the Doña Ana Volunteer Fire Department, and it is clearly visible from the highway.
