Doña Ana County residents who reside in the Hatch area and are interested in learning more about the spread and prevention of the West Nile virus will an opportunity next week to attend an educational workshops sponsored by the Doña Ana County Vector Control Program and the New Mexico Department of Health.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, from 6:30 8 p.m. at the Hatch Community Center at 405 W. Hall St.
The workshop will provide area residents information about preventing exposure to mosquito-borne viruses through the elimination of home mosquito breeding sites and an aggressive government control program. Information also will be provided about how the virus is spread and what people can do to minimize exposure.
