The Las Cruces Extra-Territorial Zoning Commission agenda for a public hearing to be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers at 845 N. Motel Boulevard, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

1. Discussion of the One Valley, One Vision 2040 Regional Plan: This meeting is to present and take comment on the One Valley, One Vision 2040 Regional Plan dated May 2011. This plan is the result of public input over the past year by the Vision 2040 Advisory Committee, a group of 45-invited stakeholder representatives around the county. The plan is advisory and looks at growth from various perspectives beyond any one political district or authority. It covers a range of resource topics that closely match those indentified in the local existing comprehensive plans. The main components of the plan includes a regional vision statement, snapshot of existing conditions, goals and strategies, regional growth strategies that shaped a consensus housing and jobs strategy, and suggested implementation actions.
