12. CASE # EAP10-002/QUÉSADA: The applicants, René and Margarita Quésada, Ted Scanlon, of Scanlon-White, agent, are appealing the August 19, 2010 decision of the ETZ Commission to deny CASE # Z10-002, a Zone Change Request on a 2.56-acre parcel from EC 1 (Neighborhood Commercial, 5-acre maximum new lot size) to EI1 (Light Industrial, 5000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) to have a business office and to occasionally store trucks and trailers on the property. The parcel is located north of the City of Las Cruces on the corner of Weisner Road and Rhonda Lane within Section 8, Township 22 South, and Range 3 East. It is described as being Lot 23, Block “B” of the Woodburn Addition of the USGLO Surveys, recorded on January 7, 1977 in Book 12, Pages 84-85 in the Doña Ana County Clerk’s office and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-014-128-242-148.

CASE # ETZS-10-008Wa: An appeal of the ETZ Commission denial of a waiver request to subdivision requirements for a subdivision proposal known as Case ETZS-10-008, Johnson Estates Subdivision No. 2, Replat A. The applicant made a request for the ETZ Commission to waive the requirements for road improvements to Shalem Colony Trail, a County road and Minor Arterial roadway according to the MPO Thoroughfare Plan, which was denied on September 2, 2010. The subject property is located near the intersection of Shalem Colony Trail and West Picacho Avenue (Highway 70). Submitted by Centerline Services for Bryan Johnson and Picacho Valley Group, property owners.
