CASE # V08-012 / BARELA: The applicant, Steve Barela, is requesting a Variance of four and a half feet (4.5’) from the required side yard setback of fifteen feet (15’) resulting in a side setback of ten and half feet (10.5’), and a Variance of five and a half feet (5.5’) from the required eave to eave distance resulting in a four and a half foot (4.5’) setback between the primary structure and the accessory structure to construct a 435 sq. ft. accessory building. The 0.5-acre parcel is zoned ER 3M (Residential, one-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built and mobile homes), addressed as 912 Calle Calmado, and is described as Lot 4, Block 2 of Los Casas Escondidas Subdivision Unit # 2 recorded in Book 15, Pages 167-168, on March 8, 1988, in the Office of the Doña Ana County Clerk. The parcel is located north of the City of Las Cruces, within Section 35, Township 22 South, Range 1 East, and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-005-132-214-376.
