CASE # Z08-001/BIAD CHILI LTD.: The applicant, Biad Chili Ltd., is requesting a Zone Change on a 5.46-acre parcel from ER3 (Residential, one-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes) to EI2 (General industrial, 5,000 s.f. minimum new lot size), for the purpose of building a 1000 sq. ft. expansion to the existing building for a seasonal (Oct.- Dec.) food processing business which currently is legal non-conforming. The subject parcel is located at 6060 South Main St. in Mesilla Park within Section 9, Township 24S, Range 2 E, and can be further identified by Map Code # 4-009-140-280-290. The Extra-Territorial Zoning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 17, 2008, recommended approval, with a 6-0-0 vote.

CASE # V08-002/BIAD CHILI LTD.: The applicant, Biad Chili Ltd., is requesting a Variance to Section 6.6 “Parking Area Surfaces” requirements of the ETZ Zoning Ordinance to maintain the current gravel parking lot. Improvements were triggered by the applicant’s submittal of a Zone Change request to EI2 (General industrial, 5,000 s.f. minimum new lot size) zoning from ER3 (Residential, one-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes) on a legal non-conforming parcel located at 6060 South Main St. in Mesilla Park within Section 9, Township 24S, Range 2E. The parcel can be further identified by Map Code # 4-009-140-280-290.
