6. CASE #Z07-004/GOMEZ: The applicant, Leroy Gomez, is requesting a Zone Change on a 3.0-acre parcel from ER2M (Residential, 2-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes and mobile homes) to ER3/4M (Residential, ¾ -acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes and mobile homes), for the purpose of subdividing a three-acre parcel into three ¾ -acre (net) lots. The subject parcel is located south of West Thorpe Road, addressed at 1027 Wiley Ave. within Section 22, Township 22 South, Range 1 East, and can be further identified by Map Code Number 4-004-130-275-388. The Extra-Territorial Zoning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 17, 2007 recommended, with a 5-2-0 vote, approval with conditions. This body tabled this case on June 20, 2007 at the request of the applicant due to the fact that only three Commissioners were in attendance.

CASE #Z07-006/PREMIERE DISTRIBUTING: The applicant, Premier Distributing, is requesting a Zone Change on a 2.014-acre parcel from EC2 (Community Commercial, 5,000 s.f. minimum new lot size, retail and personal services and some commercial recreational uses) to EI1 (Light industrial, 5,000 s.f. minimum new lot size, various light industrial, fabricating, processing, wholesale distributing, and warehousing uses), for the purpose of future warehouse expansion. The subject parcel is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Watson Lane and South Main St., at 101 Watson Lane within Section 32, Township 23 South, Range 2 East. It can be further identified by Map Code Number 4-008-138-203-186. The Extra-Territorial Zoning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 17, 2007, recommended, with a 7-0-0 vote, approval with conditions. The subject parcel is located east of the City of Las Cruces just north of Hwy 70 at 9575 Bataan Memorial Hwy. The Extra-Territorial Zoning Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 21, 2007, recommended, with a 6-1-0 vote, approval with conditions.

9. CASE #Z06-018/BUSTAMANTE: The applicant, Joe Bustamante, is requesting a Zone Change on a 3.0-acre parcel from ER4M (Residential, ½ -acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes and mobile homes) to EC1 (Community Commercial, 5-acre maximum new lot size, limited retail and service establishments as a convenience to nearby residential neighborhoods), to establish a trading post for retail sales. The subject parcel is located east of the City of Las Cruces just south of Hwy 70 at 8100 Bataan Memorial Hwy. 10. CASE ETZS-07-016A: An appeal of an ETZ Commission decision approving a preliminary plat for Las Vistas Subdivision #6, Replat #1. The subdivision consists of 17 proposed lots on 19.96+ acres. The property is located north of Las Vistas Road and west of Mesilla Hills Road. Submitted by Southwest Engineering for Chris Slaveck and Aaron T. Spaulding.

11. CASE ETZS-06-093A: An appeal of an ETZ Commission decision on March 1, 2007 to eliminate required roadway improvements in conjunction with a proposed subdivision. The request will facilitate replatting Lot 3 of Z-Ranch Estates into two distinct tracts. Current regulations require any parcel within a previously platted subdivision seeking further division shall have access from an improved roadway conforming to Dona Ana County Design Standards. The subject property is located west of Soledad Canyon Road on Spur Ridge Rd. Submitted By Western Land Surveying for Cesar Cereceres.

12. CASE ETZS-07-003A: An appeal of an ETZ Commission decision denying a preliminary plat for Reyes Subdivision. The subdivision consists of 13 residential lots on 7.752+ acres. The property is located north of Dalrymple Road and east of the BSNF Railroad tracks. Submitted by BRG Engineering for San Ban, LLC.

13. CASE #V07-004/PRICE: The applicant, Robert Price, is requesting a 15 ft Variance in the side setback to 0 ft from the minimum side setback of 15 feet in the ER3M Zoning District (Residential, 1-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes and mobile homes) to construct a 660 square foot attached carport. The subject property is a 1.08-acre parcel located within Section 26, T24S, R2E, is addressed as 8996 Pecanderosa Ct, and can be further identified by Map Code Number 4-011-143-184-184

14. CASE #V07-005/ARMIJO: The applicant, Billy Armijo, is requesting a 12 foot Variance in the side setback to 3 feet from the minimum side setback of 15 feet in the ER2 Zoning District (Residential, 2-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes) to construct a 1620 s. f. accessory building. The subject property is classified as a legal non-conforming1-acre parcel that was subdivided before the ETZ Ordinance became effective.
