5. CASE #Z06-010: Submitted by Frank Sage, the applicant is requesting a zone change on 6.38-acres from ER2, Residential, single-family site built homes to EC2, Community Commercial District. The proposed zone change will allow uses such as retail, personal services, and commercial recreational uses. The applicant is proposing a health gymnasium with outdoor tennis and volleyball courts. The parcel is located approximately one mile north of the City of Las Cruces at the intersection of El Camino Real and J.J. Lane, and is within Section 36, Township 22S, Range 3E, Map Code 4-006-132-198-460, and is address at 3205 El Camino Real, Las Cruces NM 88005. The ETZ Commission recommended approval of this zone change with a vote of 6-1-0 during a public hearing on August 17, 2006.

6. CASE #Z06-008/POMPEO, COYOTE, WOOTEN: The applicants are requesting a Zone Change on 3 parcels totaling 34.18-acres from ER2 (Residential, 2-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes) to ER3/4C (Residential, ¾ acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes). The Zone Change will accommodate a proposed 22-lot residential subdivision. The 3 parcels are currently under cultivation and contain 2 residential homes. The subject properties are located southeast of the intersection of Roadrunner Lane and Burke Road in Section 10, T23S, R1E, and can be further identified by Map Code Numbers 4-005-134-001-125, 4-005-134-002-050, and 4-005-134-002-090. The ETZ Commission recommended approval of this zone change with a vote of 4-2-0 during a public hearing on July 6, 2006

7. CASE #Z06-005/VIKING: The applicant, Viking Development, LLC, is requesting a Zone Change on 28.18-acres from ER2 (Residential, 2-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes) to ER3 (Residential, 1-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes). The Zone Change will accommodate a proposed 23 lot residential subdivision, Puerta de Vista. The parcel is currently vacant. The subject property is located south of Achenbach Canyon Road, Section 20, T23S, R3E, and can be further identified by Map Code Number 4-014-136-140-473. The ETZ Commission recommended approval of this zone change with a vote of 6-0-0 during a public hearing on July 6, 2006.

8. CASE#SU06-007 GATTIS: The applicant, Sharon Gattis, is requesting a Special Use Permit for an Accessory Living Quarters (Proposed 1,306 square foot manufactured home) based on a family hardship. Pursuant to the Las Cruces Extra Territorial Zoning Ordinance Article 2 Section 6.C a second dwelling can be located on the property if there is a medical hardship. The subject parcel is 2.23-acres and includes a 2,326 square foot site built home. The parcel is zoned ER3 (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single family site build homes). The subject parcel is located at 601 Holy Cross Road, Las Cruces, N.M. and can be further identified by Map Number 4-009-139-260-051.The ETZ Commission recommended denial of this zone change with a vote of 1-6-0 during a public hearing on July 20, 2006.

9. CASE #APP06-004/WADE: The applicant, Darrell and Tammy Wade, are proposing to rezone a 7.95-acre parcel from ER4M (Residential, 0.5-acre minimum new lot size, single family site built or mobile homes) to ER7 (Residential, 5,000-squate feet minimum new lot size, single-family medium density, duplex or apartment units). The zone change request is for the purpose of constructing multi-family units consisting of three-family and four-family condominiums. The subject property is located at 114 Watson Lane south of Union Ave., along South Main Street within Sec32, TWN23S, R3E, and be further identified by Map Code Number 4-008-138-153-107. The ETZ Commission recommended denial of this zone change with a vote of 0-6-0 during a public hearing on July 6, 2006
