5. CASE#SU06-004ALASKA NATIVE: The applicants, Alaska Native Broad Band/Cricket Communications, are requesting a Special Use Permit to allow an extra land use for a 75’ monopole cellular phone tower under Section 3.1.J.3.b.21 of the ETZ Zoning Ordinance. The other land use will be the operation of RTD Hardware. The subject parcel is 1.37-acres and includes a 7,000 square foot site-built commercial building, and a 2,000 square foot accessory building. The parcel is zoned EC1 (Commercial, 5.0-acre maximum lot size, limited retail and service establishments convenient to nearby neighborhoods). The subject parcel is located at 4501 North Valley Drive, Las Cruces NM and can be further identified by Map Number 4-004-131-425-525.

6. CASE#SU06-010/DUBIOUS: Submitted by Frank Dubious, a request for a Special Use Permit for the purpose of building a 4660 S.F. Accessory Living Quarters. The maximum square-footage allowed for an Accessory Living Quarters is 1,000 S.F. The applicant was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and thus requires a handicapped accessible residence. The proposed Accessory Living Quarters will be designed to accommodate his medical needs. The parcel is zoned ER3 (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum new lot size, single-family site-built homes). The subject parcel is 7.744-acres in size; located within Section 23, Township 24S, Range 2E, south of the City of Las Cruces limits, east of HWY 478 at 590 Cline Road, Las Cruces, NM 88006 and can be further identified by Map Number 4-011-142-028-038.

7. CASE #Z06-010: Submitted by Frank Sage, the applicant is requesting a zone change on 6.38-acres from ER2, Residential, single-family site built homes to EC2, Community Commercial District. The proposed zone change will allow uses such as retail, personal services, and commercial recreational uses. The applicant is proposing a health gymnasium with outdoor tennis and volleyball courts. The parcel is located approximately one mile north of the City of Las Cruces at the intersection of El Camino Real and J.J. Lane, and is within Section 36, Township 22S, Range 3E, Map Code 4-006-132-198-460, and is address at 3205 El Camino Real, Las Cruces NM 88005.
