5. CASE#SU06-004ALASKA NATIVE: The applicants, Alaska Native Broad Band/Cricket Communications, are requesting a Special Use Permit to allow an extra land use for a 75’ monopole cellular phone tower under Section 3.1.J.3.b.21 of the ETZ Zoning Ordinance. The other land use will be the operation of RTD Hardware. The subject parcel is 1.37-acres and includes a 7,000 square foot site-built commercial building, and a 2,000 square foot accessory building. The parcel is zoned EC1 (Commercial, 5.0-acre maximum lot size, limited retail and service establishments convenient to nearby neighborhoods). The subject parcel is located at 4501 North Valley Drive, Las Cruces NM and can be further identified by Map Number 4-004-131-425-525.

6. CASE#SU06-006 SAFE HAVEN: Submitted by Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary, a request for a Special Use Permit for the purpose of a commercial kennel and for the purpose to build a 1,200S.F.addition to an existing 704 square foot accessory building to be an animal care facility. In addition 500S.F. is being proposed for future expansion. The parcel allows for 2,576S.F.of accessory building, the applicant is requesting a total of 3,600S.F. The parcel is zoned ER3M (Residential, 1-acre minimum lot size, single family). The 2.72-acre property is located within Section 4, Township 22S, Range 3E, Map Code 4-015-127-080-016, and is addressed at 6890 Eagle Road.

7. CASE#SU06-007 GATTIS: The applicant, Sharon Gattis, is requesting a Special Use Permit for an Accessory Living Quarters (Proposed 1,306 square foot manufactured home) based on a family hardship. Pursuant to the Las Cruces Extra Territorial Zoning Ordinance Article 2 Section 6.C a second dwelling can be located on the property if there is a medical hardship. The subject parcel is 2.23-acres and includes a 2,326 square foot site built home. The parcel is zoned ER3 (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single family site build homes). The subject parcel is located at 601 Holy Cross Road, Las Cruces, N.M. and can be further identified by Map Number 4-009-139-260-051.

8. CASE#SU06-008 CROCKER: The applicant, Eva Crocker, is requesting a Special Use Permit to allow a residential building to be used as a day care center for 12 children. According to the Las Cruces Extraterritorial Zoning Ordinance Article 3 Section 1.C.1.d requires a Special Use Permit to allow a residential unit to be used as a day care center for more than 5 children. The subject parcel is 1.1-acre and includes a 960 square foot mobile home, and a second 1440 square foot mobile home. The parcel is zoned ER3M (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single family site built and mobile homes). The subject parcel is located at 650 Snow Road, Las Cruces, N.M. and can be further identified by Map Number 4-004-137-432-146.

9. CASE#SU06-009 BYRD: The applicants, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyd, is requesting a Special Use Permit for an Accessory Living Quarters (Proposed 1,300 square foot manufactured home) based on a family hardship. Pursuant to the Las Cruces Extraterritorial Zoning Ordinance Article 2 Section 6.C A Special Use Permit may be granted to allow a second dwelling on a property if a family member of the applicant suffers from a medical hardship. The subject parcel is 2.41-acres and includes a 2,101 square foot site built home. The parcel is zoned ER3 (Residential, 1.0-acre minimum lot size, single family site build homes). The subject parcel is located at 5030 Acacia Road, Las Cruces, N.M. and can be further identified by Map Number 4-010-138-268-186.
