AGENDA for a PUBLIC HEARING of the DOÑA ANA COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

The Doña Ana County Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following agenda at their regular meeting to be held on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., in the County Commissioner’s Chambers at Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Boulevard, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

NEW BUSINESS

4. CV06-002: The applicant, Underwood Engineering for P&T Development (Jim Phillips, owner), is requesting a variance from the minimum turnaround length requirements of a roadway from 700-feet to approximately 1965-feet. The Doña Ana County Subdivision Regulations Section 14.2.4.H requires “Dead end streets must have turnaround areas with a radius of at least 50 feet located at points spaced no further than every 700 feet of their length.” The applicant is proposing a Type 3B Subdivision in the Performance District to be known as Equine Acres. The subject property is located south of Radium Springs between North Valley Drive and Dona Ana Road in Township 21 South, Range 1 West, Section 25 and be further identified by Map Code # 3-001-125-081-034.

5. SD05-018/ EQUINE ACRES (Preliminary Plat): The applicant, P & T Development, LLC, is proposing a Type 3B Subdivision in the Performance District to be known as Equine Acres. The subdivision consists of twelve (12) residential lots on 28.298 acres with two (2) residential streets (50’ ROW) with cul-de-sacs. The subject property is located south of Radium Springs between North Valley Drive and Dona Ana Road in Township 21 South, Range 1 West, Section 25 and be further identified by Map Code # 3-001-125-081-034.

6. PDR(H)06-028: Submitted by Victor Vera, a request for a high intensity residential use to allow a multi-family four-plex on the property. The parcel is approximately 2.3 acres in size and is located in Section 25, Township 26 south, Range 5 East, at 541 Hermosa Lane in Chaparral, NM, and is identified by Map Code #4-030-155-161-297.
