APPLICANTS SOUGHT FOR EXTRA-TERRITORIAL ZONING COMMISSION SEAT

Due to a resignation, applications for one open position on the Extra Territorial Zoning Commission are being sought by the Doña Ana County Planning and Development Department.

The term of appointment will be through Oct. 22, 2014. The Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners will make the appointment at their March 26 regular meeting.

The ETZ Commission meets regularly on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center.

The ETZ Commission oversees development in a five-mile area that rings the city limits of Las Cruces. The Commission regularly reviews development sketch plans, subdivision plats, zone changes and special-use permit applications within the ETZ zone.

Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013. Applications will consist of a letter of interest, current résumé and three references, and should be mailed or delivered to the Doña Ana County Planning and Community Development Department, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, N.M., 88007, Attention: Janine Divyak. Application packets also can be faxed to (575) 525-6131.
