ELLINS ANNOUNCES SCOTT KRAHLING AS ELECTIONS SUPERVISOR

Doña Ana County Clerk Lynn Ellins has selected former District 4 Doña Ana County Commissioner Scott A. Krahling as the new supervisor of elections. Krahling was one of 19 applicants for the position, and one of two who made it through to the interview stage.

“We were fortunate to have two strong applicants to interview,” Ellins said. “By the end of the interview process, however, our choice was clear. Mr. Krahling knows the local elections process and state laws from the standpoint of a candidate. He knows and relates well to the office staff. And most, importantly, he can hit the ground running to assist us with the school board elections, which are underway with early voting in the Las Cruces, Gadsden and Hatch districts in advance of Election Day on Feb. 5.”

In addition to having served as county commissioner from 2009 through 2012, Krahling was the production manager for Digital Solutions, a Las Cruces-based website design and support business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from New Mexico State University.

Krahling will earn an annual salary of $47,132.80.
