DEPUTIES SEARCH FOR WANTED MAN

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public for help in locating a man wanted for allegedly beating his girlfriend and then stealing her daughter’s car.

On April 12, deputies say a 35-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend, Miguel Loya, 22, kicked her, bit her, and attempted to smother her inside her home in the 12000 block of Hanna Ct. in Mesquite. The victim said Loya then forcibly took her daughter’s car keys and left with the vehicle.

He has not been seen since the date of the incident.
Loya is described as five feet, seven inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a white 1995 Oldsmobile four-door sedan, the car he allegedly stole.

Loya is facing charges of unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, battery against a household member and interference with communications.

Magistrate Court Judge Conrad Perea has issued a nationwide extradition warrant for Loya with a $15,000 cash bond.

Anyone with information on Loya’s whereabouts is asked to call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department, (575) 525-8806.
