DETENTION CENTER TO GRADUATE CLASS OF TWELVE

The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 12 detention officer cadets on Friday, July 22, 2011.

The graduating cadets have satisfactorily completed the seven-week Basic Detention Officers’ Academy, which consists of physical training, classroom instruction and field experience. All training is done in-house at the county’s detention center, under the supervision of Sgt. Luis Contreras.

The graduating cadets are David Austin, Jon Blanco, Gustavo Gutierrez, Thomas Hill, Gregory Maddox, Ruben Nuñez, Daisy Ramirez, Juan Roman, Chastity Sanchez, Jason Sauceda, Jillian Shane and Humberto Zamora.

District 3 Doña Ana County Commissioner Karen G. Perez will deliver the commencement address, and Doña Ana County Probate Judge Alice Salcido will administer the oaths of service.

The commencement ceremony will be held in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 22. The public is encouraged to attend.
