PUBLIC'S HELP SOUGHT IN LOCATING WANTED MAN

WANTED SUBJECT

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating a man they believe has been evading arrest for nearly three weeks. He is believed to still be in the Las Cruces area.

MIGUEL GONZALES
26 YEARS OF AGE
6 FEET TALL
APPROXIMATELY 175 LBS
LAST KNOWN ADDRESS OF 4000 DUNE ST. IN LAS CRUCES

Gonzales is wanted in connection with a Dec. 18, 2010 incident in which he held his wife and her two children against their will and battered his wife with closed fists in front of the children.

An arrest warrant for Gonzales was issued by Magistrate Judge Silva on Dec. 27 for: False Imprisonment (4th degree felony), Battery Against a Household Member (Misdemeanor) and Interference with Communications (Misdemeanor). Bond is set at $10,000 cash. He is also facing federal charges for illegally re-entering the country.
