COUNTY SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR REGIONAL UTILITY BOARD

Doña Ana County is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority, which serves the water and wastewater needs for the City of Sunland Park and the Santa Teresa area.

The authority’s members are appointed by the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners and the Council of the City of Sunland Park for staggered two-year terms. The open position is for an at-large board seat. Preferred applicants will have demonstrated backgrounds in professional real-estate and property development, engineering and/or economic development. Residency in Doña Ana County is required.

Once the board is in place, its members will coordinate a meeting location and implement a regular meeting schedule. All meetings will be conducted in accordance with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.

Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010. Applications will consist of a letter of interest, current resumé and three references, and should be mailed or delivered to the Doña Ana County Utilities Department, 845 N.
