From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, adoptions will be facilitated at Pet’s Barn, 1600 S. Valley Dr., in Las Cruces. During the Black Friday event, all black dogs and cats are half off normal adoption rates!

Adoptions also will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Las Cruces.

Regular adoption fees are $75 for dogs/ puppies and $50 for cats/kittens. The fee includes the first set of vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchip. During the Black Friday event, all black dogs and cats can be adopted for $37.50 and $25, respectively.

At the Friday and Saturday Pet’s Barn events, microchipping for pets that already have homes will be available to the public for $20, and city pet licenses will be available to neutered pets for $5 each. Licenses for unneutered pets are $25 each. Proof of spay/neuter is required before a $5 license will be issued. Pet owners also must bring current proof of rabies vaccination for each animal to be licensed.
