SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT TO AUCTION SEIZED VEHICLES ON OCTOBER 30

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will auction 60 seized vehicles at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Some of the vehicles were seized following DWI stops, others were seized during drug raids and still others are decommissioned county vehicles.

Charles F. Dickerson, Inc., International Auctioneers will conduct the auction. Registration begins Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at 7 a.m. Bidding on the seized vehicles begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 30, 2010, and will continue until all the vehicles are sold. None of the vehicles carries a warranty. All will be sold on an as-is basis. Questions about the auction process must be directed to Dickerson's offices at (575) 526-1106.

A $500 refundable deposit is required in advance of the auction. Business checks, personal checks and cash will be accepted for deposits and vehicle purchases, with the $500 deposit credited to the purchase(s). Credit cards are not accepted.

The vehicles will be available for inspection at the fairgrounds beginning Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.

Auction proceeds from all seized vehicles will go toward ongoing drug-enforcement and anti-DWI efforts by the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department.
