CLERK’S OFFICE NOW ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS FOR SOME TRANSACTIONS

Beginning this week, the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office is accepting credit and debit card payments for recording transactions and for compiling elections-related data.

A $3 fee will be assessed per transaction by the credit card company, with none of that amount being retained by Doña Ana County.

Card companies participating in the program are MasterCard, American Express and Discover. With the exception of tax payments, the Visa Corporation does not allow its cards to be used for governmental transactions.
