DETENTION CENTER TO GRADUATE CLASS OF ELEVEN CADETS

The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 11 detention officer cadets on Friday, Sept. 18.

The graduating cadets have satisfactorily completed the six-week Basic Detention Officers’ Academy, which consists of physical training, classroom instruction and field experience. All training is done in-house at the county’s detention center.

The graduating cadets are Fred Bork, Steven Callahan, Carlos Diaz, David Dominguez, Priscilla Gutierrez, Earl Kelly, Jose Medina, Juan Montero, Vanessa Orona, Rose Marie Pavia and Melony Villareal.

District 1 Doña Ana County Commissioner Oscar Vásquez Butler will deliver the commencement address, and Doña Ana County Probate Judge Alice Salcido will administer the oaths of service.

The commencement ceremony will be held in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. The public is encouraged to attend.
