ANIMAL SERVICES CENTER SEEKS VOLUNTEERS, SLATES ORIENTATION

The Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley will host an orientation session for new volunteers at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the shelter headquarters, 3551 Bataan Memorial West.

Volunteer Coordinator Jordan Simons said volunteers are needed across a wide range of areas to assist with the care of shelter animals while they await adoption.

“We’re looking for people who can spare a few hours each month to help our community’s homeless animals,” Simons said. “We welcome all who are interested to become volunteers. Our volunteers are instrumental in saving lives and keeping our community’s animals healthy and happy. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, each of which enriches our resident animals’ lives.”

For more information, or to enroll in the orientation class, go to www.ascmv.com, or contact Simons at (575) 382-0018, extension 119.
