SHERIFF GARRISON ENCOURAGES GOLF TOURNAMENT PARTICIPATION

Doña Ana County Sheriff Todd Garrison is encouraging golfers throughout Doña Ana County to register for the SNAP Classic Golf Tournament, proceeds from which will help pay for low-cost pet spay/neuter operations utilizing the Doña Ana County Sheriff¹s Department’s mobile animal-surgery van.

The tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at Sonoma Ranch Golf Course in Las Cruces. Entry fees in advance of the tournament are $95 for individual players and $360 for foursome teams. Entrants under the age of 19 or over the age of 65 get a $10 discount. All entries on the day of the tournament are $110.

Several prizes will be available to players, including a fully restored 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, a Sharp flat-screen television and domestic airfare vouchers.

Registration online is underway by visiting www.snapnewmexico.org. Registrations on the day of the tournament will begin at 7 a.m. at the Sonoma Ranch Clubhouse. Scramble-style play begins at 8 a.m.

The tournament is co-sponsored by the Doña Ana County Sheriff¹s Department and the Las Cruces-based Spay Neuter Action Program (SNAP).
