COUNTY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR HEALTH-RELATED EXTERNAL AGENCY FUNDING PROPOSALS

Doña Ana County has opened its annual application period for external-agency, health-services funding for the period of July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010. Completed applications must be returned by 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009.

Collaborative applications will be considered under each of the following funding priorities:

• Clinical and Hospice Services

• Health Education and Promotion

• Behavioral Health

Interested agencies are required to meet as a collaborative to complete and submit a single application under each service area. Application packets are available at the Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department, 845 N. Motel Boulevard, Suite 2-201. Requests for an electronic version of the Health Services application should be sent to jacobn@donaanacounty.org.

Agencies eligible for funding include non-profit agencies, 501c3s, and state, federal and quasi-governmental entities. During the current fiscal year, the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners allocated Health Services funds as follows:
