DETENTION CENTER TO GRADUATE CLASS OF TWELVE CADETS

The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 12 detention officer cadets on Friday, Dec. 5.

The graduating cadets have satisfactorily completed the six-week Basic Detention Officers’ Academy, which consists of physical training, classroom instruction and field experience. All training is done in-house at the county’s detention center.

The graduating cadets are Martha Aguilera, Nathan Beyer, Robert Dominguez, Sam Garcia, Felipe Hernandez, Paula Kionut, Raul Martinez, Catrina Palos, Robert Santistevan, Andrew Strong, Justin Stephenson and Julian Tennessee.

Doña Ana County Commission Chairman D. Kent Evans will deliver the commencement address, and Doña Ana County Probate Judge Alice Salcido will administer the oaths of service.

The commencement ceremony will be held in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. The public is encouraged to attend.
