DETENTION CENTER TO GRADUATE CLASS OF THIRTEEN CADETS

The Doña Ana County Detention Center will graduate 13 detention officer cadets on Friday, Feb 15.

The graduating cadets have satisfactorily completed the six-week Basic Detention Officers’ Academy, which consists of physical training, classroom instruction and field experience. All training is done in-house at the county’s detention center.

The graduating cadets are Claudia Aguirre, Heriberto Cardoza, Valerie Flores, Michael Guerra, Felipe Hernandez, Will Hernandez, Robert Jenkins, Anna Martinez, Patrick McKnight, Jose Montañez, Robert Resendez, Teresa Salazar and Luis Vásquez.

District 1 Commissioner Oscar Vásquez-Butler will deliver the commencement address, and Doña Ana County Probate Judge Alice Salcido will administer the oaths of service.

The commencement ceremony will be held in the Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Blvd. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. The public is encouraged to attend.
