EXTRA-TERRITORIAL ZONING AUTHORITY INCREASES APPLICATION FEES

The Doña Ana County/City of Las Cruces Extra-Territorial Zoning Authority has increased application fees for variances, special-use permits, zone changes and appeals. In addition to the new fees, all applicants must still pay postage to notify all property owners within 350 feet of the site to which the application pertains.

Effective Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, the following fees are in effect for all non-commercial applications:

* Variance Application: $150 plus the cost of first-class postage.

* Special-Use Permit Application: $350 plus the cost of first-class postage.

* Zone Change Application: $600 plus the cost of certified postage.

* Appeal Application: $200 plus the cost of first-class postage.

Effective Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, the following fees are in effect for all commercial applications:

* Variance Application: $250 plus the cost of first-class postage.

* Special-Use Permit Application: $600 plus the cost of first-class postage.

* Zone Change Application: $600 plus the cost of certified postage.

* Appeal Application: $200 plus the cost of first-class postage.
