DOÑA ANA COUNTY SHERIFF’S ACADEMY TO GRADUATE SIX CADETS

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will graduate six cadets from its rigorous law-enforcement certification program on Friday, July 27, 2007.

From an original class size of 10, the six graduating cadets are Jacob Ballard, Jeff Flora, Jason Ray Gleason, Tony Liu, Davie Lucero and Ismael Porras. They completed 25 weeks of intensive training in defensive tactics, emergency-vehicle operations, firearms, use of force, constitutional law and procedures, arrest procedures, search and seizure, criminal law, first aid and CPR, as well as issues involving domestic violence and criminal investigations.

The ceremony will be held in the first-floor Doña Ana County Government Center Conference Suite beginning at 2 p.m. A reception with refreshments will follow at the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department Training Room.

The public is encouraged to attend.
