MARCH 15 COMMUNITY MEETING PLANNED FOR LA MESA

MARCH 15 COMMUNITY MEETING PLANNED FOR LA MESA

The Doña Ana County Department of Planning and Community Development has scheduled a March 15 community meeting at the San Jose Parish Hall at 353 Josephine Street in La Mesa. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.

La Mesa currently falls within the county’s performance-district zoning standards. The community meeting will focus on zoning, what it entails and how it affects land uses on private property. The discussion also will focus on map zoning, village districts and community districts. These types of zoning districts introduce long-range land-use planning through a community-supported process that is finalized and approved through a public hearing process and ultimately adopted by the Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners.

Residents and property owners are encouraged to attend the community meeting. Public input is important and greatly appreciated. For more information about the meeting, call the Doña Ana Planning and Community Development Department at (505) 525-6128.
