COUNTY OFFICES, SOLID-WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, to allow most employees to observe the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement will not be affected.

The standard holiday closures also affect the county’s solid-waste convenience stations in Anthony, La Mesa, Hill, Butterfield, Mesquite, La Union, Hatch and Garfield, all of which will close Monday, Jan. 15. The transfer stations will reopen Friday, Jan. 19, 2007.

PLEASE NOTE: The Commission Chambers of the Doña Ana County Government Center will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, for a special work session of the Doña Ana, Sierra and Otero county commissions. The work session will be preceded by a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The work session will focus on issues surrounding Spaceport America. Public participation is encouraged, and questions will be accepted in writing.
