PUMPS BEING DELIVERED TO VILLAGE OF HATCH

The Doña Ana County Emergency Operations Center has arranged for several large pumps to be delivered to the Village of Hatch. The pumps will be used to pump water out of the downtown area and into two lateral canals on the east and west sides of town. The canals drain to the Rio Grande.

Doña Ana County Flood Director Paul Dugie said pumping is the fastest and most effective method to drain water from the downtown area in the shortest period of time. The pumps could be operational by later this evening.
