HATCH COMMAND POST MOVED TO LAS CRUCES AS POLICE OFFICES FLOOD

The command post for emergency response in the Hatch area has been temporarily moved to the Las Cruces Fire Department headquarters as a result of flooding occurring at the Hatch Police Department. A mobile command post will be established in Hatch as soon as possible.

All vehicle access to Hatch is closed by order of the New Mexico State Police.

Response to the flooding is being coordinated at the Doña Ana County Emergency Operations Center, where law-enforcement, fire, ambulance, flood and other agencies are represented, along with the American Red Cross.
