PARCEL-MAP SEARCH FUNCTION UPDATED ON DOÑA ANA COUNTY’S WEBSITE

PARCEL-MAP SEARCH FUNCTION UPDATED ON DOÑA ANA COUNTY’S WEBSITE

The Doña Ana County Assessor’s Office has upgraded the parcel-map webpage to allow searches of property by parcel ID and owner name. After entering search criteria, a link appears that will zoom the map to the selected property(s). The link can be accessed at <http://gis.co.dona-ana.nm.us/advparcels/index.html>

The initial link includes a user’s agreement with general instructions about how to use the site. Clicking on the binoculars icon is a shortcut to activate the search function. Clicking on the book icon on the page’s lower left side will show more detailed usage and search instructions.

Other new features of the site include the ability to select numerous parcels for simultaneous information display and to measure distances on the map.

Successful searches will show characteristics of the selected parcels, including roads, railroad crossings and other information. Parcels across Doña Ana County’s 3,800 square miles can be searched. Aerial photography enhancement is available for approximately 1,244 square miles of Doña Ana County, including the 52 square miles of the City of Las Cruces municipal limits and most other urbanized areas of the county.

Users who encounter challenges on the updated site can call Doña Ana County Assessor’s GIS and Mapping Analyst Keith Odenheim for assistance at (505) 647-7486.
