COUNTY’S EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN TO BE PRESENTED PUBLICY

The Doña Ana County/City of Las Cruces Office of Emergency Management will host a public meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 7, to educate the public about the county’s basic all-hazards emergency operations plan.

In development for more than a year, both the Doña Ana County Board of Commissioners and the Las Cruces City Council have adopted the revised basic plan, which was developed through local input with the assistance of Universal Research Services of Albuquerque.

The meeting on Dec. 7 will allow the public and the media to hear a presentation about the plan’s flexibility and how residents may be affected in the event the plan is pressed into action through a natural or man-made emergency of any scope.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Emergency Operations Center on the second floor of the Doña Ana County Public Health Building at 1170 N. Solano Ave. in Las Cruces.
